A cast uniface lead object, possibly a token or badge, of probable post-medieval date ( c 1600 -1800 AD) The object appears to have originally been flat but now has a bend, folding it almost at 90 degrees. It has one curved edge but the other edges appear clipped or broken, making the original shape difficult to determine, possibly it was heart shaped. A copper alloy post-medieval trade token. The token is in the form of a copper alloy disc, 28 mm in diameter, stamped on one face with the letters JOSEPH / BROWN / BOLSOVER / 1786. The reverse has some scratches and the letters JOSE. The letters seem to have been stamped individually; they are imperfectly aligned. As the disc is corroded and abraded, it is not possible to determine if this is a pre-existing coin which has been over-stamped. However, the diameter, thickness and weight are similar to a half penny of George II. Diameter 28 mm, thickness 1.3 mm, weight 6.4 g
