A fourth century copper alloy Roman AE3, GLORIA EXERCITVS type, of Constantine II or Constantius II, c. 330-5. The obverse has the laureate, draped and cuirassed bust facing right with the reverse showing two soldiers flanking two standards. The letters in exergue are hard to make out. The coin is in very poor condition with much of the surface now eroding and flaking off, leaving a mottled pale green and brown patina. Underneath, the coin is probably relatively unworn.

A copper-alloy Roman nummi of indeterminate ruler but probable late 4th century origin. With no identifiable features beyond a rudimentary bust to the obverse and just the hint of a legend on the reverse, no further ID can be suggested. The condition of the coin is very poor and may therefore be typical of the many contemporary forgeries of that time.
