4 fragments of a puddingstone quern of probable Roman date. Puddingstone is distinctive conglomerate containing rounded red flint pebbles within a siliceous matrix, the main sources of which lie in Hertfordshire. Fragment of a Roman copper-alloy spoon of Crummy Type 3, consisting of a short length of the stem and a tiny fragment of the bowl, connected at an offset junction. The stem is rectangular, nearly square, in cross-section. When considered from the side, with the concave face of the bowl facing upwards, the stem can be said to taper gently in thickness and expand abruptly in width as it develops into the junction. A complete Roman faience 'melon' bead. It is cylindrical in shape with rounded edges to both faces. Parallel, deep, transverse grooves are positioned around the sides. A circular hole, c.11mm in diameter, runs through the middle, slightly off centre. It has a dark greenish-yellow patina.  See Guido (1978, 100, Types 21 and 22) and Crummy (1983, fig. 32.520-1). Worrell (2015) suggests a 1st to 2nd century date for most. A lead unidentified object. This object is a cast lead ring, oval in shape measuring 13mm in length and 7mm in width externally and 8mm in length and 5mm in width internally. An incomplete cast copper-alloy fragment originating from a brooch of Late Iron Age or early Roman date (c. 25-100 AD), probably a Colchester or Colchester Derivative type. It consists the very bottom of the bow, foot and catchplate. The catchplate itself is triangular in plan, with a rolled back edge to accomodate the pin. Preserved in fair condition with an even green patina, it survives to a length of 17.78mm, 7.88mm thick where the catchplate projects, and weighs 1.12g. Due to the fragmentary nature of this object, it is impossibly to type accurately.

Bears vairy (metal nothing surviving) and gules (red enamel) overall a bendlet azure (blue enamel). Bears a version of the Ferrers coat-of-arms, similar to that of the Ferrers of Walton, Derbyshire which have a vairy or/and gules and a bend azure, Sir Thomas de Ferrers used this design and it is recorded on the roll of c 1308-14. White deposit over part of pendant looks like paint but could be some other deposit.
