An incomplete lead post-medieval token. It is disc-shaped with a raised shield on one face decorated with multiple raised, transverse rectangular sections. It is heavily corroded, bent out of shape and there are sections missing from the edges with a long break running from one side towards the centre.  Simple tokens such as these were in use for much of the medieval period and into the post-medieval period. Without specific diagnostic details they are difficult to date more precisely. Length: 30.21mm, width: 28.60mm, thickness: 1.86mm, weight: 10.14g

A Medieval to Post Medieval cast, lead alloy medium sized, biface token of Powell's Type 1/2, dating to the period AD 1400-AD 1800. The token is discoidal. One side's decoration consists of a 3 petalled flower made of a series of pointed ovals whose tips meet at the centre of the token. This classes as a Powell Type 1 design (Symbolic petalled flower).
