A complete post-medieval silver sixpence of Elizabeth I whose reign lasted from AD 1558-1603. Third issue (AD 1573-1577) (North 1997, Spink 2562-2563 - end date as of Spink 2003), London mint. The obverse is very worn, the feint image of the left facing bust of Elizabeth I is still present with her ruff the most prominent feature. Legend: ELIZABETH.D.G’.ANG’.FR’.ET.H-[REGINA].
