Bronze Age collared urn consisting of twenty two body sherds. The fabric is tempered possibly with fine sand with some larger pieces of grog, flint and other stone (up to 3mm). Very little abrasion. The fabric is local clay fired on a bonfire with a flint temper. The sherds vary in size from between 55mm in length and 40mm wide and are 4mm thick. The sherds eroded out of a cliff section at Beckfoot Roman cemetery and were probably accompanied by a fragment of an incense cup. A piece of Roman period Samian ware. The bright surface has worn in many places but is still present in the relief. The fabric is dark orange with few inclusions. There are various images, the main one visible is of a woman carrying a vessel on her shoulder, standing before a doorway. In another panel above her is a bird. It is curved in both planes and probably represents part of a small bowl. Dimensions: 64mm x 62mm and 8mm thick, it weighs 32.45g

Medieval to early Post Medieval ceramic vessel body sherd of a reduced sandy ware. The stub of a probable 'strap' handle has been attached at the top of the sherd. It may originally have been part of a large jug or storeage vessel. The light grey fabric’s core is mid grey. Medieval to early Post Medieval ceramic vessel body sherd of a reduced sandy ware. The fabric’s core is grey, the inner face is orange, and the outer face is a lighter orange with areas of pale grey. It is scratchable with a thumbnail and has many inclusions and voids up, mostly under 1mm with some up to 2mm and one linear void 7mm long. There is a degraded yellow green outer glaze. Medieval ceramic vessel handle sherd of a variably fired gritty ware. The fabric is pale buff where oxidised and grey where it isn’t. It is scratchable with a thumbnail and has many inclusions and voids mostly up to 1mm. There is a yellow green outer glaze and remnants of sooting. Probably dates from c1200 to c1500 AD, most likely 14th or 15th century. Length 57mm, width 37mm, thickness 16mm, weight 36.45g.
