Single petal central boss. Crude, casting spurs either side central boss. Denuded dark brown, uneven surface. Some brassy colour showing through. Appears abraded. Hinged long pin attached where strap loop would have been, brassy colour, much more modern than piece. Re-used this century.

Struck copper-alloy jetton, ‘stirling bust jetton’, Edward I: Class X: 1302-1307. Obverse: Bust in circle: border and pellets. Reverse: Hexagonal enclosing rosette (6 petals): border, pellets, plus 4-foil at each tip of hexagon. Fair surface condition. It measures 21.38mm in diameter and weights 2.4g. Similar examples can be found in Mitchiner, M. 1988. Jetons, medalets and tokens: The medieval period and Nuremberg. Vol. 1, p.98-99, ref. 107.
