An incomplete Roman cast copper alloy hinged initial T-shaped brooch dated to AD 50-150, comprising the head and the majority of the bow however the foot, catch plate and pin are missing. The head is formed of two wide possibly open-ended cylindrical wings, oval in section. The left wing has at least one deeply incised line running across its front half and the right has two. The right wing has been chipped revealing the hollow core filled with a medium brown material that is likely all that remains of the solder within the wings. An incomplete copper alloy Roman developed T-shaped brooch of Hull T105/6, dating to c. AD 50-150. The brooch comprises the wings and part of the bow, the lower part of the bow, footplate and pin are all now missing. The wings are cylindrical in shape with a broad rectangular notch at the centre where a significant amount of iron decay suggests that the iron hinge would have been located. A complete copper-alloy Roman Colchester Derivative Harlow type brooch. The wings are hemispherical and open at the reverse. In the centre is a pierced double lug, the upper perforation holds the chord and the lower the axis bar through the coils. On each side of the lug are 6 coils, not counting the pin. The front face of the wings have transverse incised lines. On one side is 5 lines and on the other is 4. A moulded central ridge runs down the top of the bow, tapering inwards. A near complete large Roman copper alloy hinged developed T-shaped brooch, probably dating to c.AD 50- 160. It comprises the head, an attachment loop, wings, bow, foot, catchplate and an, iron axis bar and is only missing its pin. An incomplete Roman copper alloy hinged Strip Bow brooch dating to the period c. AD 25- 70. The majority of the brooch's survives although it is missing its pin and parts of its wings. The head of the brooch projects backwards from the bow in a sub-rectangular plate which is incomplete and has a central slot cut into the edge. Copper alloy brooch of developed T-shaped of Hull T139; Colchester derivative hinged (Mackreth 2011, Group 2a, pl. 68 that has a loop at the top and tubular wings which hold the pin axes bar, there is a slot in the centre rear of the wings for the pin, the pin is missing. The top half of the bow is decorated with two long rectangular cells that each contain a stamped chevron pattern, the lower half of the bow is undecorated. The catch plate on the reverse is closed. Date 100-199. The bow is broken in two, this is a clean breaking suggesting it was cut rather than snapped in half.
