A fragment of a very worn plate brooch of unbomate type and 2nd century in date. A fragment of the outer edge survives and the rest is missing deut to old breaks, now worn. The fragment measures 19.48mm by 11.39mm in size. Around the edge of the front face there are triangular cells filled with decayed enamel. On the back face a double pin lug survives. Both faces have active powdery green corrosive products visible.

A copper-alloy possible buckle or brooch frame, of medieval date. Oval in shape measuring 16.74mm by 15.27mm externally and 11.41mm by 11.23mm internally. One face has three constrictions, one of which has corroded iron adhering to it. An iron pin may therefore have been attached to this constriction allowing the frame to be used as a brooch or even a buckle.

Copper alloy brooch, Colchester derivative Polden Hill variant (folded wing, Eastern Group), variant Polden Hill rear hook spring attachment. Upper half only, missing pin, some corrosion. The spring has 10 turns. The axis bar is held in 4mm wide enclose ends and a rear hook holds the chord. The wings have a concave moulding and rib with intervening grooves at the terminals. Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch fragment, lower bow and part of the flat panel from a early Anglo-Saxon brooch. There is a longitudinal decorative band running down the centre of the bow and below the bow transverse grooves delimit the start of the flat panel. Surviving length is 17.94mm and width is 17.38mm. All edges worn and damaged due to old breaks. Both faces are black probably due to exposure to fire, perhaps indicating that this brooch was originally from a cremation cemetary.

A copper-alloy disc brooch of 'hub-cap' type, most likely to be AD 900-1100, late Anglo-Saxon in date. Very similar to examples from Wyverstone, see SF-E66913 and Mellis, see SF-7F2271. It is circular in shape and measures 20.96mm in diameter. The front face has a central circular setting containing a worn dark green glass gem. Surrounding this central setting there are seven circular indentations. The back face is flat and has a pin loop, now incomplete opposite a catchplate. No trace of the pin survives. It is fairly worn and has some patches of powdery green corrosion.

Copper alloy brooch, Colchester derivative type with Polden Hill variant spring attachment. Missing foot with catchplate, spring, pin. The spring was held by a rear hook and by enclosed wing ends, 6mm wide - these contain an iron-like corrosion, but it does not react to a magnet. The wings have a single angled groove and five grooves at the terminals, with slight notching of some of the intervening narrow ribs. An incomplete cast copper-alloy bow brooch of Colchester Derivative rearhook type dating to the Roman period, c. 43-100 AD. It survives virtually complete, with the exception of the spring/pin mechanism and the rear portion of the catchplate. Copper alloy brooch fragment, lightweight crossbow type. Upper part only, missing pin; some damage on the top of the crossarm , possibly a casting fault. The hinge bar is of iron. The crossarm is hexagonal in section, with a strong rib defining slightly rounded terminals instead of full knobs. A complete copper-alloy annular brooch of medieval date. The circular frame measures 15.85mm externally and 12.18mm internally. The frame has an oval section and a constriction around which the open loop of a copper-alloy pin is attached, the pin tapers to a point. Traces of gilding can be seen on the frame.

An incomplete copper-alloy early Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch. Three quarters of the bow and the foot survive, the rest of this brooch and the pin are missing due to old breaks. It measures 40.01mm in surviving length and 8.05mm in width. The bow has a D-shaped cross-section and is faceted, the flat panel is short and the terminal in the shape of a horse head with bulging eyes and flaring protruding nostrils. The catchplate on the back face of the terminal is complete.

An incomplete copper-alloy umbonate disc brooch (compare Hattatt 1987, 179). The chain-loop is incomplete with only a lower fragment surviving; the pin is missing, apart from a fragment between the two pierced lugs. The edges of the brooch are worn and incomplete. A copper-alloy Langton Down type Roman bow brooch, the wings and the upper part of the bow survive and the rest of the brooch and the pin is missing, Langton Down brooches occur in Pre-conquest contexts but also in contexts dated post AD 43. The wings are a cylindrical spring cover with transverse grooves across their terminal and one horizontal groove across the centre. The bow fragment is flat backed and has longitudinal reeded decoration. Similar to Hacheston example (PLouviez 2004, 91,-92, no 34). It measures 21.21mm in length and 19.67mm in width.

A copper-alloy late Iron Age to early Roman bow brooch of Langton Down type. It is incomplete as the lower bow and foot and pin are missing. The spring cover is cylindrical and bow flat backed with three transverse grooves where it joins the spring cover and five longitudinal grooves running down its length. A fragment of an early medieval brooch, either a cruciform or small long in type. A fragment of the lower head and upper bow, measuring 27.60mm in surviving length and 16.74mm in surviving width. The bow has transverse grooves at its top and there are two longitudinal parallel grooves down its centre. It is D-shaped in section. There is an incomplete pin loop on the back face with the remains of a corroded iron adhering to it, presumably from the iron pin.
