2nd to 3rd century copper alloy Roman brooch. Hattatt describes this brooch as an oval brooch with intaglio, though the intaglio is missing from this example. The brooch is oval in plan and has a moulded, raised outer rim, 2mm wide, and a moulded raised inner oval rim, within which the missing intaglio would have been fixed. The surface of the brooch shows traces of silvering or tinning. There are no traces of enamel between the outer and inner, but it is likely that enamel was present originally. An incomplete cast copper alloy medieval annular brooch. The flat circular frame is slightly bowed and misshapen. Around the frame are six tapering collets, two large ones and four smaller. The large collets are at opposite ends and have a set of two collets between them. Inside some of the collets are the remains of a white paste but none of the settings survive. Between two of the smaller collets is a circular pinhole for the missing pin, and at the opposite end the frame is slightly angled to act as a pin rest. Incomplete cast copper alloy Trumpet brooch. The brooch has a convex oval head with a spring behind it. The spring has six turns to it and is held in place by a small integral loop in the centre of the reverse. There is an incomplete suspension loop above. The bow is comma shaped in plan and incomplete. The upper bow is triangular in cross-section and below is a moulded acanthus reel. The lower bow is also triangular in cross-section and has a groove along the perimeter. The catchplate on the reverse is incomplete. The pin is missing.

Incomplete copper alloy two-piece Colchester derivative (Dolphin) bow brooch of Roman date (43-150AD). The wings are semi-cylindrical with perforated wing / end caps. The wing caps are incomplete and the axis bar and spring are lost. The spring would have been formed from a length of copper alloy wire which would have attached by an external chord to a rearward facing hook. A complete cast copper alloy medieval brooch. The annular frame has a pointed extension at one end to create a teardrop shape. The extension is decorated with a four-petal flower. The frame is divided into bands decorated with a fine net-like design alternating with plain. Looped around a constriction in the frame is a cast copper alloy pin, which has a transverse moulding. Traces of gilding survive on the front surface and the back is plain. The length is 32.8mm, the width is 25.1mm, the thickness is 2.7mm and the weight is 5.69g.

Enamelled copper alloy disc brooch. The brooch is circular and has a single pin lug and catchplate on the reverse. The face is decorated with a six pointed star; each point of the star terminates with a pellet, and each joining arm is curved. There is a pellet in the centre. The fields inside and outside the star contain red enamel. The copper alloy surface has been tinned or silvered.

The wing terminals are decorated each with a single deep channel. The bow is D-shaped in cross-section and tapers to the break half way down its length. Incomplete copper alloy Polden Hill brooch of flat wing ends type. The brooch has semi-cylindrical wings in cross-section. There is a small hook at the top in the centre that would have secured the now missing spring and pin. The wing terminals are full-rounded and pierced. The front of the wings are decorated with a single vertical groove at either end.
