An incomplete and worn copper-alloy Nummus of Valens; SECVRITAS REIPVBLICAE reverse type, AD 364-378. The orange colour of the underlying metal suggests that this coin was probably minted at Arles. The coin has been pierced in order to convert it into a pendant. It measures 17.2mm in diameter, 1.2mm thick and weighs 1.35g.
