Copper alloy Roman coin; a securitas reipublicae nummus of Valens, from the house of Valentinian (364-367AD). Reverse has victory walking left with a wreath, with the letters [S]MAQP beneath, which would make it the mint of Aquileia, in Northern Italy. 17.4mm diameter x 1.8mm, 2.41g. For reference see LRBC, 995.
