A silver plated contemporary copy of a denarius of Hadrian, 117-138. Mint is uncertain, Reece period 6. Obverse shows Laureate head right. Obverse legend reads HADRIANVS [AVG COS III] P P. Reverse shows Fides standing, holding corn-ears and basket of fruit. Reverse legend reads [FID]ES PVBLICA. Condition is fine, die axis is 6 o'clock, weight is 2.32g, diameter is 18.37mm. PIETAS AVG reverse type depicting Pietas draped, seated left on throne, holding patera in extended right hand and sceptre in left. Mint of Rome. Copying Cf. BMC Vol.III, p.327, pl.60, fig.13, no.690; RIC II, p.370, no.260d.
