Two copper alloy nummi fund very close together and from a point very close in time to one another. They are surely part of a purse loss or hoard and thus went into the ground together. However, as they are of copper alloy and there are ess than ten of them they do not constitute a case of Treasure. One might speculate that they were lost in the first years of the fourth century, probably c.AD300-10.

Silver denarius of Carausius (AD 286-93) (Reece Period 14), VICTORIA AVG, Victory advancing right holding wreath and palm. Mintmark: -//RSR (actually appears as: ΠSR; commonly attributed to London, but to be studied further. This piece is not recorded in RIC.
Published in British Numismatic Journal 2007, p. 315, no. 44. This coin is now included in Sam Moorhead's corpus for RIC.
Note - this coin was recorded twice, by mistake. It wasalso under the record NMS-3DA945 which has now been removed.

A copper alloy Roman nummus of the emperor Crispus. Reverse; BEAT TRA/NQLITAS, globe on altar inscribed VOT/IS/XX. Mint mark PLON, mint London. Reece period 16. RIC VII 274. Circa 321-324 AD. Attempts have been made in antiquity to drill the flan from both the obverse (10 o'clock) and reverse (centre) sides but neither has penetrated the full flan thickness.
