A cast copper alloy palstave adze dating from the Middle Bronze Age, that is c. 1500-1150BC. The body of the adze is long and slender and shaped like a palstave with its cutting edge twisted at 90 degrees. It is complete and in good condition with only some patches of active corrosion. The blade and butt end are intact and most of the original dark olive green patina survives.
