A cast copper alloy 1st - 2nd century AD, Trumpet brooch, with moulded decoration. The brooch survives largely intact, with only the foot and the catchplate missing. The head of the brooch is rounded, with a central spine, running down the centre. The head has a raised border. Below the head there are two collars, which flank two rows of diagonal dashes. The upper row is angled down to the left, whilst the lower row is angled up to the left (forming a sort of chevron). Below this there is a large acanthus moulding. A copper alloy mid-late Anglo-Saxon pin. The pinhead is complete but the shaft is broken. The entire length of the pin is 25.1mm. The pinhead has thirteen faces, the four main faces each feature a ring and dot motif. The pinhead is a polyhedral type, which are cube or cuboid shaped with the corners cut off. The shaft has a circular section. It is impossible to say how long the shaft was or whether is was a straight shaft, or an L-shaped shaft. The pin is otherwise in a good condition, but much of the original surface has been lost. The metal is a mid brownish-green colour.

A cast copper alloy harness pendant with a diamond shape. The suspension loop is damaged. The face has a cast design in low relief: diagonal borders divide the face into four diamonds. Those at the top and bottom have the image of a fleur-de-lis; those at left and right show what may be stylised lion’s faces. Traces of gilding and enamel survive on the face, although the surface appears corroded. This artefact dates to the 14th or 15th century.

A cast copper alloy harness pendant. The suspension loop is intact and the artefact is in good condition. The surface is smooth, with a verdigris patina. The pendant consists of a small central roundel within which is a face in profile, facing left, cast in shallow relief. From this roundel eight leaves radiate, four at the cardinal points, and four between. These leaves are fanlike, each made up of seven small segments that themselves radiate from the end of the stalk. A cast copper alloy hexagonal openwork horse harness boss. The central openwork part is in the form of a fleur-de-lis. Around this is a solid border, with a perforation at the top and the bottom for rivets. The edges of the border are hexagonal and the border has basic patterns. There are six knops projecting out from the centres of the outer sides. This artefact dates to the 17th century.

A cast metal strap-end. Only the main body is present; the spilt end has broken off. The body is decorated on the obverse with a Trewhiddle style design which covers the whole surface; this design is slightly three-dimensional, and terminates in a zoomorphic head with comma-type ears. The artefact is made from a 'silvery type metal'- maybe a high-tin bronze. This artefact dates to c.875.

An incomplete copper alloy buckle of medieval to post-medieval date. The buckle is annular with an integral central strap bar and bevelled edges. The pin no longer remains. The metal has a mid-green corroded patina and is worn. The buckle is 36.2mm in diameter, 3.6mm thick and weighs 8.6g. Similar examples are illustrated in Whitehead (1996) p.44 & 45 and are dated to circa AD 1350 - 1650.

A copper alloy stud, probably dating to the Roman period. The stud has circular, central shank, flanked on either end by a circular disc. One of the discs is more rounded than the other. They are said to have a 'cotton reel' appearance. A similar stud can be seen in Appels and Laycock, p92.
