Fragment of a Medieval pilgrim badge, a robed and nimbed standing figure, probably that of St. John standing on what originally was part of the base of a cast openwork rood group to one side of the crucified Christ with the Virgin Mary on the other side. There is a spike bent upward and flattened on the reverse. >11 x 31mm. An unusual survival of a pilgrim souvenir executed in copper alloy rather than the more commonplace tin-lead alloy. Cf. discussion of small lead-alloy rood badges in Spencer (1998) 170. 15th century.

Fragment of gilt pin from medieval disc-on-pin buckle (>29 x 17mm), worn, corroded and thin (2mm), lozengiform with central perforation between four rivet-holes, three containing domed decorative rivets, opposed remains of shank. Classified as Redmayne Type D4 Cf. Williams and Geake, Med. Arch. 2005, 347, fig.9a; Redmayne (2014, 4). The dating is uncertain but is perhaps later medieval.

Middle Saxon/Late Saxon stone spindle whorl, fine-grained pale-grey limestone plano-convex with central perforation within three engraved concentric grooves on the upper surface and two on the base. Diameter 35mm, weight 26.01g. Cf. Late Saxon example from Thetford (Rogerson and Dallas 1984, fig.148, no.4) and broadly similar but more deeply grooved Middle Saxon example from grave 28 at Harford Farm (Penn 2000, 29 and fig.94, no.4 and plate VI).
