Possible spindle whorl; cast lead, bun-shaped weight with narrow (approx 4mm), circular piercing hole. The weight is circular with one flat surface and one convex, domed surface. The lead is covered over all surfaces with a thick, chalky, white patina. Found in close proximity to a number of lead spindle whorls, suggesting that this may have been used for a similar purpose. Alternatively the piercing could have been to allow the weight to be secured to something else, or even to adjust the specific weight of the item.

Spindle whorl; cast lead spindle whorl with ring and dot decoration. This is a small, circular spindle whorl of double convex shape, coming to an edge around the centre. It has a large, circular, central hole with concave internal sides. Both faces are decorated with 5 large, ring and dot motifs in relief around the edge. All the rings are incomplete as they would extend beyond the edge of the spindle whorl.
