Copper alloy Nuremberg jetton, dating from the 16th to 17th century. The jetton is a rose-orb jetton, but the incription on either side is illegible and therefore not attributable. The obverse shows an orb; the reverse shows a rose, the petals of which are comprised of crowns.

Copper alloy French jetton. The jetton matches one described in Barnard's 1981 'The Casting Counter and the Counting Board', page 121, number 71. The obverse shows a large crown in the centre with AVE written on its side. The obverse inscription reads: AVE MARIA GRASIA PLENA with double pellets between each word. The reverse is highly worn, but shows a cross formed of fleur-de-lisee with a mullet in the centre and encircled by mullets.

The obverse shows the traditional three circles emblem of the city of Tournai, with a lis in each circle. The reverse shows a cross pattee with a flower in each angle, all in an eight-arched tressure. The object is very worn, and most of the legend cannot be discerned. Copper alloy Nuremberg jetton of Hans Krauwinckel II (d. 1635). The obverse of the jetton shows three crowns with three lis between, and a rose in the centre. The obverse inscription is: HANNS KRAVWINCKEL IN NVR. The reverse shows an orb in a three-arched tressure with angles at each joint. The reverse inscription is GOTES REICH BLIBT EWICK, meaning 'God's kingdom (realm) remains eternal'. This matches Mitchner 1540. The jetton has been pierced for reuse.
