Cast copper alloy circular brooch with four rounded projections, behind one of these projections and above the pin gear are the remains of a loop for a safety chain. The back of the brooch is slightly hollow and the pin gear and catch-plate remain. The decoration is of a geometric eight pointed star with triangular cells around a central round cell for coloured enamels. Each traingular cell has a central pellet. Some of the blue and orange enamelling remains intact.

A fragment of a Roman trumpet brooch. This fragment consists of the brooch bow. The remains of the acanthus decoration can still be seen in the middle of the bow. However, the detail on the acanthus can no longer been made out. Part of the catchplate also survives.

An incomplete cast copper alloy bow and fantail brooch, dating to the Roman period AD50-150. The head and pin of the brooch are missing. The brooch is formed of a circular boss with a fan shaped foot which has linear decoration. The circular boss itself has a concave central area containing a small round protrusion in the middle. The head is sub-rectangular with much of the original edge being lost to old, worn breaks and a single semi-circular lug projecting from the reverse. An axis bar and pin loop remain though the pin proper has been lost. A D-sectioned bow extends centrally from the front of the wings, curving steeply before tapering to a worn pointed terminal break. The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. The brooch is 17.2mm long, 14.8mm wide, 5.5mm thick and weighs 2.4g. Similar examples are illustrated in Hattatt, p.298, fig.157 and are dated to the 1st Century AD.

An incomplete copper alloy cruciform brooch of Early-Medieval date. All that remains is one pelta-shaped, or fan-like, terminal arm extending from a central square panel. The panel is decorated with a crudely incised border and the surface is scratched. An integral semi-circular lug extends from the centre of the reverse of the panel, probably the remains of the hinge mechanism. The metal has a mid-brown patina and is worn. The brooch is 23.1mm long, 15mm wide, 8.5mm thick and weighs 3.4g.
