The wings are rectangular in cross section and only part of the forward facing hook remains. The bow tapers from 4.8mm to 1.4mm at the foot and is oval in cross section. The catchplate is damaged. A copper alloy annular brooch of Medieval date, about AD 1250 - 1350. It has a frame of sub-rectangular section, with a slightly bevelled upper side and a concave underside. The outer edge is decorated with a series of small, U shaped grooves. There is no other decoration. The flat, copper alloy pin remains in place, looped round the constriction. The brooch is 16.8mm in diameter and 4.8mm thick. It weighs 1.68gm. A copper alloy Early Medieval small-long brooch dating from AD 400 - 600. Only the foot of the brooch survives. The flat upper part of the leg is decorated with annulet punch marks along both edges. The catchplate projects form the rear of this area. Below, is a half round panel decorated with five transverse grooves. The foot is again flat, slightly flared and decorated with two vertical rows of annulet punches in the centre. The break is patinated. The brooch has a smooth dark rown patina, green where damaged. It is 30mm long, 8.2mm wide and 12.9mm thick (including the catchplate). 3.58g.

A fragment of a Roman copper alloy brooch, possibly a Headstud type dating from AD 75 - 175. Only the foot and lower bow survive. It has a flat bow, rectangular in section but with a projecting ridge along the centre which is decorated with tiny triangular recesses, leaving a row of lozenges along the ridge. A double collar at the base separates the foot which is circular and juts forward. Much of the catchplate survives. The breaks are patinated but not worn. A copper alloy detachable knob from an Early Medieval cruciform brooch dating from the 5th century. It is 20.6mm long and 10.3mm in diameter. It consists of a flattened domed terminal decorated with thee incised lines round the base. Beneath this the knob is waisted and then there is another disc, the edge of which is also decorated with three similar lines. Beneath the disc is an oval projection which would have been attached to the head of the brooch. The oval part is also decorated with three similar lines. Compare NMS-957207 for a knob in situ.

A Medieval delicate annular brooch with eight raised bosses round the frame. One of the areas between the bosses is worn, suggesting that this is where the now missing pin was attached. The brooch would probably have been gilded, but only traces of corroded brown gilt now survive. The hoop is 1mm thick between the bosses, and the bosses are about 3.8mm wide. The overall diameter is 18.1mm. The brooch dates from the 13th - 14th century and can be compared to NMS-FF2792 and SF-C45D51.

A incomplete copper-alloy Roman headstud brooch dating from AD 75 - 200, of Mackreth's Headstud group 10. It has the remains of a cast head loop, a tubular housing for the copper alloy axis bar with a slot for the hinged pin which is missing. The front of the wings are stepped. There is an integral headstud which is an inverted teardrop shape, possibly with a ring cell for enamel. The lower bow appears to be plain, but most of it is missing. An incomplete Roman copper alloy Umbonate brooch (a British Plate Domed Boss type) dating from AD 75 - 300. The front face of the brooch is domed and surrounded by a groove. An incomplete Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative, rearhook brooch of Mackreth 2011, CD RH 5.h.dating from AD 43 - 200. There is a stub of a chord hook, but it is not clear whether it is forward or rear pointing. There are also the broken remains of a loop to hold the missing spring and pin in place. he wings are small and plain, and very worn at the ends. The upper bow tapers and is decorated with a central moulded longitudinal ridge. The foot of the brooch is missing along with the catchplate. The brooch is small, at 16.7mm long, 16.3mm wide and 7.3mm thick. 1.5g.

An incomplete Early Medieval brooch, either a cruciform or a small-long brooch, dating from AD 420 - 550. The head plate is flat but all the edges are missing so the original shape is uncertain. There is a flat rectangular panel at the top of the bow and the remains of one at the bottom. The hinged pin is missing, but was held on a copper alloy axis bar encased within the rolled wings. the wings are plain apart from a single groove round each end. The bow has a prominant central ridge and tapers to a point. The catchplate is not complete, but turns to the left as viewing the reverse, head uppermost. A copper alloy Roman chatelaine brooch of which two pieces survive. It dates from about AD 75 - 300. The brooch has a rectangular plate which is incomplete. Descending from the surviving end of the long edge at the base, is a broken attachment loop. This would have supported a bar from which a toilet set could be suspended. A copper alloy fragment from a brooch of the Roman period, a Colchester derivative hinged (T shaped) type dating from AD 43 - 120. Only the tubular wings and the top of the head survive. The wings contain an iron axis bar and There is a slot for the hinged pin, but only the very top of the copper alloy pin survives.
