The neck is square in section and has had a repair hole drilled through the box, apparently to secure a smaller diameter rowel. The arms and neck are inscribed and punched with circular and semi-circular shapes which form foliate decoration in reserve within circular and semi-circular areas and with smaller punched circles in the fields. These areas are divided by a meandering undecorated strip.
