An almost complete Roman cast copper alloy brooch of headstud type dating to c.AD 75-200. The brooch consists of a hinged pin attached to short wings on either side, and a curved bow with a column like foot and catch plate. The outer faces of the wings are decorated with three transverse grooves. To the reverse is a narrow cylinder with a slot in the centre which holds a hinged pin and axis bar.
