A incomplete Roman copper-alloy Colchester derrivative brooch, dating to c.AD 75 - 175.  The brooch is in two parts The upper bow and wings form one half, the lower bow and catchplate form the other, the pin is missing. The hollow cylindrical wings are undecorated, the upper bow has a central protruding rib along the bow, at the top of this ridge is a circular loop, the rib terminates at the foot of the brooch. The rear of the brooch is undecorated and retains a rectangular catchplate to the rear.  Length: 38.5 mm Width: 16.3 mm Weight: 5.16 g

An incomplete Roman copper-alloy trumpet brooch, dating to c.AD 75 - 175. The upper bow and head remain, the lower bow, catch plate and pin are missing. The oval head is worn and is decorated with tows of pellets, the rear of the head has retained two supporting lugs for the now missing pin. The upper bow extends from the head it is circular in section, it is decorated with pellets, it tapers then widens at the middle of the bow to a globular knop. the bow tapers again but terminates in an old worn break.  Length: 27.7 mm Width: 12.7 mm Weight: 5.83 g

An almost complete Roman cast copper alloy brooch of headstud type dating to c.AD 75-200. The brooch consists of a hinged pin attached to short wings on either side, and a curved bow with a column like foot and catch plate. The outer faces of the wings are decorated with three transverse grooves. To the reverse is a narrow cylinder with a slot in the centre which holds a hinged pin and axis bar. The pin remains articulated. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy silvered Colchester derivative hinged bow brooch, dating to AD 43-120. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy continental plate brooch, dating to c.AD 80 BC - 250. The brooch appears to have originally been trefoil shaped in plan, one of the lobes is missing. A Medieval copper-alloy annular brooch, dating to c.AD 1270 - 1350. The frame is circular in plan and D-shaped in section. The frame is narrowed slightly in one area to house the pin. The front of the frame is decorated with moulded line decoration creating a beaded effect. The pin has a moulded collar, the remainder of it is undecorated.
