Copper alloy brooch fragment. Small cast possibly headstud brooch fragment comprising part of the head with a horizontal groove probably below a stub ?from an integrally cast loop, and with three pronounced ridges along what now appears to be a bow expanding in its width towards the foot [lost], cf. Mackreth type Proto HDST 1.e. A surface sheen might hint at the former presence of white metal plating, a predominantly 1st-century trait. Abraded. Copper alloy Roman heavily cleaned Colchester Derivative Harlow brooch. The brooch is complete apart from half the spring and a missing pin. Wings sub-semi circular in section with single grooves at the terminal ends. Soldered half of the spring remains attached, together with half of the axis bar and chord. The ends of the axis bar and chord can be seen exiting the double lug Harlow type spring mechanism on the forward head of the brooch. Copper alloy plate brooch, probably Roman. The front face is almost flat and is undecoratedand somewhat pitted and has some remaining white metal coating. The object has a roughly oval outline with straight upper and lower edges where ancient breaks have occurred, suggesting the brooch is incomplete. The lower face has two projections being the remains of a pin attachment and catchplate. The object is 29mm long, 20mm wide, 11mm thick and weighs 10.49g.

An incomplete Roman copper alloy sprung dolphin brooch. Only the wings and upper bow survive. The wings are semi-cylindrical in section and are decorated at each end with a narrow incised line. An incomplete rearward hook extends from the top. The bow is plano-convex in section and decorated with a rib down the centre.

A cast copper-alloy probable Nauheim Derivative brooch, of La Tene type III dating to the late 1st century BC to late 1st century AD. The brooch is incomplete, missing the catchplate, pin, and nearly all of the spring. However, the bow is complete and best described as sub triangular in shape with a wider plate narrowing to a thinner lower part to the bow. At the point of transition at its widest point there are four incised transverse lines across the bow . The object has a smooth, even patina of grey-green colour. Roman (2nd century) trumpet brooch: The copper alloy brooch has an undecorated head which has no wings and, in plan, is a horizontal oval. The upper edge has a trace of an integral, incomplete headloop. On the reverse of the bow head there are two vertical integral lugs with a central perforation which supports a trace of an iron axis bar. The spring and pin is missing. Fragment of an Anglo-Saxon copper alloy small long brooch. Only the lower half survives. The bow is arched, faceted, and has an incised collar above and below. The foot is rectangular and slightly flared. The foot is decorated with transversly moulded collars and incised lines. A catchplate survives on the reverse. Circa AD450-550.

An early Anglo-Saxon copper-alloy narrow cruciform brooch in good condition, but recovered in two adjacent parts due to a recent break between the head and bow. It has an integrally cast facetted half round top knob above a rectangular head-plate, but the two side knobs are missing. The head plate is decorated with punched circles all around the perimeter.
