An incomplete Roman copper-alloy Colchester Derivative (Polden Hill) brooch (type 4.a) dating to circa AD 80 - 120. The catch plate, foot, spring and pin are missing. The brooch head is hump-like, and slightly angular (comma shaped) in profile. At the rear of the head is an oval concave slot for the missing spring. The left wing is flat and slightly concave on the reverse. The right wing is missing. The top of the head has the remains of the rearward facing hook, which would have kept the spring in place. The head has a pair of small, flat stumps of wings over a stumps of the chord hook, spring and pin, which would have been integrally cast. The bow is narrow with a rounded plano-convex cross-section and appears undecorated. The catchplate is lost. Circa 1st century AD.

An incomplete and bent cast copper alloy Roman Initial T-shaped brooch, of Colchester derivative hinged pin type (Mackreth (2011) CD H) dating to the late 1st to early 2nd century AD. The wings are cylindrical with moulded lobes around each end and contain remains of an iron axis spindle which has corroded, expanded and broken the wings in places. The centre of the head has a notch for the pin. The bow is convex, with a moulded spine, ridged margins and a triangular lobe at the apex with a small hole at the centre and a lobed collar behind. An incompletecopper-alloy disc brooch of Early-Medieval/Anglo-Saxon date. It is missing its pin and parts of the outer edge of the plate. The plate is disc shaped in form with decoration on its front face. A fragment of a copper-alloy late Iron Age brooch of a possible Kragenfibel rosette type (Mackreth, 2011, pg 28). It is very corroded, making typogology difficult. The wing shape suggests a coil spring, although missing, and the bow seems to have a seperate plate, which is mostly corroded away. It is decorated with longnitudinal lines. An incomplete copper alloy Roman zoomorphic plate brooch. The brooch is moulded in the form of a water fowl with closed wings.
