A complete cast silver brooch dating from the Medieval period c. AD 1250-1400.
The frame is cross or quatrefoil shaped in form, D-shaped in section with a flat back face and a gently sloping front face. The sides are concave/crescentic in form with oval-shaped rounded beaded knops at each end that are decorated with four rows of a crescentic punched design. One side has a rectangular constriction where the pin would have originally hinged, the pin is still intact. The pin is also silver and hinges from the centre of one of the concave/crescent sides.…

Description: Incomplete Late Saxon cloisonné enamelled and gilded copper-alloy disc brooch with remains of a silver pin mechanism, of Weetch’s (2014) Type 20.B. On the front there is a central circular field containing a floral motif composed of cells (also called cloisons) filled with enamel, now shattered. This is surrounded by an outer ring of twelve closely spaced and now mostly vacant sub-circular cells. All of this is mounted onto a flat backplate with soldered-on silver pin fixings.

Silver gilt bicoloured zoomorphic medieval annular brooch. The circular frame in formed from two converging double headed snakes. Each snake has an undecorated circular cross-section body with an expanded lentoid shaped head at both ends, each head has a pronounced brow ridge with a slightly narrowed snout. Silver gilt annular brooch with pin. The frame is concave on the reverse, stepped inwards towards the centre. The front has 22 radially aligned fins (some damaged), each decorated with a line of pellets. These fins extend outside the circumference of the frame, and the ends are decorated on the reverse with a trefoil arrangement of pellets: two next to the frame, one extending to the point. The frame has two further plain fins, framing a narrowed area for the pin loop. The pin has a moulded transverse rib and tapers slightly towards its point.

A worn fragment of a silver Medieval annular brooch dating c. 13th to 14th century.
The frame is flat and rectangular in section with just under one third of the frame remaining. The upper surface is decorated with integrally cast, low relief, moulded decoration in the form of a continuous border of plain linear hemispherical loops with a raise wedge in each angle. The reverse of the frame is plain and undecorated.

A fragment of cast gilded silver bow brooch, probably a small radiate-headed brooch, dating from the mid-sixth century.
Description: The fragment represents part of the triangular foot plate and the bottom of the short, low bow. The bow is very slightly pointed where it meets the foot plate, and appears to have featured a central ridge cast in relief, creating two decorated fields on either side of the bow. Description: Medieval annular brooch, made from thin silver sheet, now slightly bent.. Circular, with wide frame on a slight convex angle, decorated with nine oblique, slightly curving rows of addorsed punched triangles (also called interrupted rocker-arm). This decoration is interrupted by a circular pin hole which is flanked by a transverse row of similar punchmarks to either side. A silver sheet pin survives in the hole, with an open loop and no decoration. It is tilted at the tip to sit neatly on the frame. The reverse of the frame is concave and undecorated.

An Early Medieval silver-gilt small square-headed brooch dating to the 5th-6th century AD.
Only the footplate lobe and a small portion of the footplate has survived. The lobe is sub-circular with the outer border decorated with two circumferential rows of stamped triangles, with the points facing each other. A Medieval silver annular brooch, dating to AD 1150 - 1400. The brooch is circular with an oval sectioned frame, although the frame is complete there is a break in the frame.The frame is undecorated.
The pin survives and is attached by a trapezoidal loop, which widens towards the pin shaft. A trapezoidal collar separates the loop and pin. The shaft of the pin is cylidrical and has a small indentation on both sides where the end of the pin meets the frame.
