A brooch depicting a scene of Elizabeth I and Sir Walter Raleigh. The brooch consists of a low wall, with the two figures standing facing each other. It is flat on the reverse with the detail on the front in relief. The reverse has the hook and remains of the hinge mechanism, at each end. The pin is missing. Other than that it appears complete. Sir Walter Raleigh is on the left, Queen Elizabeth on the right. Raleigh is wearing a hat with a feather in, a short cape, a sword at his left hip, hose and the shoes are unclear. Elizabeth is gesturing towards Raleigh with her right hand…
