A complete lead alloy Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) nummular brooch.  Discoidal in plan and flat the front face is decorated with a human figure holding a staff and with a crown, sat on a bench holding a figure, either a child or animal, within a border of raised pellets or beads. This brooch fits a group of late Saxon disc brooches which copy, or appear to copy coinage of the period see Weetch (2013:15-16 fig no176,179), with the variants being divided by whether they copy obverse or reverse designs. An incomplete Roman cast lead alloy form or model for the manufacture of a two-part Colchester derivative Polden Hill brooch dating AD 80-120. The object is broadly 'T' shape with one short wing. The opposite wing is broken. The top edge of the wings is integral and folded down over the reverse, where it is compressed. The bow extends from the front centre of the wings and tapers to a broken point. There is no clear decoration and the surfaces of the bow, nor on any surface of the brooch. A possible incomplete early medieval lead alloy brooch, dating to c. AD 1000 - 1100. Possible Weetch type 13. The obverse of the broch is flattened and the outer rim  is decorated with two circumferential bands of pellets, the outer is reversed and the inner raised. There is a single solid band below the boss made of transverse lines. The central boss is flat topped and decorated with remains of a single pellet. The reverse shows the remains of the two attachments, each parallel to the edge of the object.  Diameter 45.33 mm, thickness 4.19 mm and weight 41.83 g.

Lead alloy possible brooch fragment. Cast fragment, possibly from the centre of a disc brooch with concentric decoration, cf. Weetch Type 5. A circular segmented or vermiform moulded feature is arranged as a presumably central norder around a lower centre with a hole pierced off-centre. Broken on all edges. Dave Haldenby kindly comments this is probably not Saxon. Suggested date: Early Medieval, 900-1000 Length: 26.3mm, Width: 22.8mm, Thickness: 4.7mm, Weight: 7.27gms

An incomplete lead Nummular Brooch of late Early-Medieval (AD 900-1050). Weetch's Type 2.Ai, imitating the obverse of a coin. The object is flat and circular with repeating protruding pallets around its circumference. The front of the object had a moulded decorative motif composed of a beaded outer boarder, within which is a crowned male bust facing. The reverse retains a distorted, tapering, the catch plate is missing,  between the pin and the missing catch plate is a shallow casting seam. An Early Medieval to Medieval lead-alloy brooch dating to circa AD 900-1000. The brooch is disc-shaped in plan and plano-convex in section. It has relief decoration on the front face.
