An incomplete and bent cast copper alloy Roman Initial T-shaped brooch, of Colchester derivative hinged pin type (Mackreth (2011) CD H) dating to the late 1st to early 2nd century AD. The wings are cylindrical with moulded lobes around each end and contain remains of an iron axis spindle which has corroded, expanded and broken the wings in places. The centre of the head has a notch for the pin. The bow is convex, with a moulded spine, ridged margins and a triangular lobe at the apex with a small hole at the centre and a lobed collar behind. An incomplete cast copper alloy Iron Age bow brooch of La Tene I type, 39.5mm in length and dating to the 4th - 3rd century B.C. The integrally cast spring and pin is missing, as is the projecting terminal at the foot. The bow is flat, lenticular in shape with a slightly plano convex cross section 1.8mm thick and decorated with a pair of grooves along the spine. These grooves taper to each end of the bow where there are sharply angled junctions with the head and foot; the latter has a stump of a catchplate running along the underside.

An incomplete Roman copper alloy brooch of the standard British type of Colchester one-piece type. The head has a pair of small, flat wings and a projecting hook for the spring chord. The spring and pin would have been integrally cast, and only a stump of the spring remains. The bow is narrow with an oval cross-section around 2.8mm thick and appears undecorated. 48.8mm in length. The foot tapers to a point; most of , the catchplate is lost. Circa 1st century AD.

The brooch is 20.4mm in maximum diameter and decorated with a sexfoil design with six pellets conjoined by arcuate lines. The field would likely have been enamelled (e.g. as per SUR-0319A7) but no trace now remains. The reverse is flat with an in-line hinge loop and stump of a catchplate.

An incomplete Roman copper alloy hinged Developed T-shaped brooch of Hull T 105/6, 36.6mm in length, dating to 50-150 AD. The arms are cylindrical and retain part of the copper alloy pin in the hinge slot. The bow is decorated with three diamond shaped cells; that nearest the head contains blue enamel with the central cell retaining red enamel. In front of these cells is a short moulded spinal ridge. The foot has a triangular cross section and tapers to a moulded knop on the end. The underside has a triangular catchplate.
