An incomplete copper-alloy late Iron Age or early Roman La Tene III/Nauheim derivative type one-piece bow brooch, 47.5mm in length. The spring is integrally cast but has mostly been lost along with the pin. The bow is strongly curved with a rounded cross section 3mm in diameter and tapers straight into a triangular catchplate, which has mostly been lost. The bow has decoration in the form of transverse incised lines in two groups; one of four lines at the apex of the bow and another of around eight lines at the foot. Circa 1st century AD.

A fragment of a cast copper alloy Roman brooch of Hod Hill type, 27.4mm in length, comprising the foot, catchplate and a portion of the bow. The bow is flat and decorated with a double longitudinal moulded ridge down the central axis with flanking ridges on the outer margins of the plate. These ridges terminate is a ridge across the lower part of the bow, which is then undecorated and tapers to the foot with a catchplate on the underside. The end of the foot has a small transverse and semi-circular terminal. Circa mid 1st century AD.

An incomplete Roman cast copper alloy Aucissa brooch missing its head, spring and pin. The deeply curved bow is 2.3 mm thick with a flat, triangular profile, and a central spine. There is a sharply angled junction to the foot, which has a small catchplate underneath it and a flattened spherical knop on the terminal. Circa 1st century AD.

An incomplete Hod Hill type brooch dating to AD 80 -120. The head is hinged with traces of a rusted iron spindle and a copper alloy pin. The bow is strongly curved with a flat triangular section, 2.4mm thick and is decorated with incised linear borders and a line of unclear punched or incised decoration along the spine. The upper part of the bow meets the head at a waisted collar. The lower portion of the bow tapers into a break.

An incomplete copper-alloy early Iron Age bow brooch dating to 450-300 BC, 27.7mm in length, complete with part of the spring, but missing its pin. The bow has a flat cross section and flares into a lenticular plate which is strongly arched and is decorated with two ridges which form an ellipse along the spine. The catchplate is incomplete. A Roman cast copper alloy and enamel disc brooch dating to the second century AD. The brooch is 20.9mm in maximum diameter and decorated with a sexfoil design with a central pellet surrounded by six pellets conjoined by arcuate lines. The outer field of the design has traces of blue enamel; the central area has now lost its enamel but on the basis of other examples may have been red (e.g. SUR-0319A7). The reverse is flat with an in-line hinge loop and stump of a catchplate. A rusted remnant of a now-lost iron pin remain on the hinge loop.

The arms are semi-cylindrical with moulded ridges around the tips and there is a lug with a single drilled hole for a spring and pin, now missing. The bow is strongly curved with an oval cross section and the catchplate is triangular. There is no decoration but traces of a white metal coating remain.

A later medieval cast copper alloy frame from a large annular brooch. The frame is D-shaped in cross section, 3.5mm thick and 5.7mm wide. There is a projection in the form of an acorn or perhaps a trefoil, with a moulded collar. On the opposite side of the frame is a pin constriction, the presence of which suggests an interpretation as a brooch rather than a buckle. The frame has broken across this constriction. The front has bevelled sides and there are tool marks from finishing.

A post-medieval silver annular brooch dating to c.1600-1700. The brooch consists of a circular frame, 23.9mm in diameter that has a convex frame 3,2mm wide with rounded exterior surfaces set at an oblique angle. The reverse is concave. There is a pin constriction flanked by collars with pairs of transverse decorative grooves. The pin is retained and has a flat triangular cross section. There are no maker's marks.

A Roman gilded cast copper alloy circular plate brooch with a raised central setting surrounded by two concentric borders. The central setting retains a fragment of an enamel or a glass boss of indeterminate colour. The inner border surrounding this setting is recessed, the outer is slightly raised with a ridged margin between. Both borders are decorated with concentric rings of small punched crescents or annulets and traces of gilding remain. The reverse is flat with stumps of a single pin lug in line with a catchplate.
