An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman Initial T-shaped brooch, of Colchester derivative hinged pin type (Hull T125; Mackreth (2011) CD H) dating to the late 1st to early 2nd century AD. The wings are cylindrical with incised lines around the tips and contain an axis spindle retaining the pin (27mm in length). The bow is convex, with a moulded spine decorated with incised oblique lines, and has ridged margins. It tapers back to a bend and break. The foot and catchplate are missing. The surface has traces of tinning.

An incomplete copper alloy enamelled zoomorphic Roman plate brooch in the form of a hare or hound, dating to c.AD 100-300 (Mackreth (2011) OBJECT 3.c Plate 125). Only the front portion of the brooch remains; this depicts a running hound or hare with a square-nosed snout, dot eye, linear mouth, long ears swept back, and stretched forward front leg (now missing). An incomplete cast copper alloy Iron Age bow brooch of La Tene I type, 23.2mm in length and dating to the 4th - 3rd century B.C. All that remains is the bow, which has a circular cross section, 4mm in maximum diameter, and tapers at either end to old breaks with the integrally cast spring and head and the foot with catchplate, both now missing. The bow appears to be undecorated.

A copper alloy pin from an annular brooch of uncertain type but broadly of later Roman to early medieval date. The pin shank has a circular cross section 2mm in diameter and is bent mid way along its length. The articulation loop is 5.6mm wide and made from a flattened terminal which has been curled around into a loop. It is decorated with a medial ridge.

An incomplete Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) copper-alloy disc brooch. The brooch is flat and circular in plan with a plain front face which has corroded traces of an applied facing, now lost. A small cast copper alloy enamelled Roman plate brooch of continental type, dating to the 2nd century AD. The plate is flat and in the form of a quatrefoil, 18.9mm in length, with four circular or annulet shaped cells with traces of blue enamel inlay and retained metal pellets in the centre; these surround a small rectangular cell in the centre of the plate which possibly has traces of red enamel. The reverse has an in-line hinge lug and catchplate.
