Roman brooch of 'Headstud' type. The foot is missing but sufficient survives to show that this was a fine brooch. Part of the bow is present and, on its underside, is the end of the catch plate. Down the top of the bow runs a broad groove. At the apex of the bow is a circular rosette-like element, its outer edge marked by a ring of radial notches. In the centre of this is a small setting containing blue enamel. This is surrounded by an annular groove which may also have contained enamel. Roman brooch, copper alloy, of Fantail type, complete with pin. The fantail foot bears chapleve enamel, a 'D' shaped panel containing two confronted scrolls, surrounded by mid-blue enamel, above this is a diamond shaped panel. Two longitudinal grooves run down the bow. The head is cylindrical with a transverse projecting bar across its end on which is an integral ring. The pin is articulated with a hinge type mechanism. On the underside of the foot plate is a triangular catch plate. Length 40.2mm, Width (fantail) 18.7mm, (head) 15.8mm, Height 14.5mm, Mass 7.82g.

Roman brooch of 'Trumpet type', cast copper alloy now crushed. Cylindrical terminal on foot, catch plate damaged, body of brooch keeled up to a four-lobed transverse moulding each side of which is a transverse groove and two double mouldings. Head expands ot form the eponymous trumpet head. Hinged type spring mechanism, now missing. Length 54.8mm, Width 18.4mm, Mass 15.92g.

Fragment of an early-medieval copper alloy brooch of ansate type, roughly triangular with a large, projecting ring and dot motif at each corner; between these is a deeply incised diagonal cross. On what remains of the bow are a number of incised longitudinal lines. The underside of the fragment bears two integrally cast lugs around which are the remains of the iron spring and pin. Length 22.4mm, Width 16.4mm, Height 10.3mm, Mass 3.90g. This fragment can be compared with SWYOR-C1ED6F and NMS-D25ED4, both of which also have the engraved saltire between ring-and-dot motifs.
