A complete copper alloy jetton of medieval date, reused as a brooch or dress hook. The jetton is an English sterling bust issue of Edward I (1272 - 1307). The obverse depicts a crowned bust facing forward with a border of alternating strokes and rosettes. The reverse depicts a single stranded cross fleury with expanded ends, with a star or crescent within each quarter, within a border of alternating strokes and rosettes.
