Copper-alloy and gemstone annular brooch of medieval date, missing its pin (c. 1200 - 1400 AD). The object has a circular frame with forked rectangular projections at opposite ends. There is a recessed pin bar at one end. While fairly worn, enough of the detail of the rectangular projections is visible to see that they are zoomorphic in form, with incised eyes and raised brow-ridges. Incomplete copper-alloy Roman headstud brooch, dating to c. 150 - 200 AD. The brooch has a rectangular head from which a bow extends and curves down, terminating in a flat, circular foot that angles upwards at the front. The bow is D-shaped in section, with a flat back and slightly curved front face. Small spurs at the top of the head are the remains of an integrally-cast chain loop. An incomplete copper-alloy brooch of Early-Medieval date, c.AD 400 - 600. Probably a small-long type brooch. The head is sub-rectangular with much of the original edge being lost to old, worn breaks. From the centre of the lower edge of the head a D-sectioned broken arched bow extends terminating in a worn break. The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. The length is 64mm, the width is 20mm, thickness 6mm and the weight 8.48g.

Pointed tool made of copper alloy, possibly a sailor's Fid medieval to post-medieval 1300 to 1800AD. The tool is oval in cross section with a domed attachment at one end from which point the point of the tool narrows gradually to a rounded tip. A fid is a pointed tool that was used for opening up the strands of rope when splicing, they are usually made of wood or antler. It could also have been used as a pricker, a tool used in sailmaking, which are more often made of metal. It could be Medieval to Modern in date. The length is 32mm, the width is 17mm and the weight 5.78g.

An incomplete copper-alloy early medieval (middle Anglo-Saxon) disc or 'cogwheel' brooch. The brooch has a flat circular plate with openwork and moulded decoration. This consists of a central cross with a domed lozenge in its centre and short arms, each expanding into two opposing lobes terminating at the edge of a surrounding circle. Early Roman copper alloy Roman copper alloy double lug Colchester derivative brooch. What remains is the top of the bow and the stubs of the wings. The head of the brooch arches over the wings and narrows to form a ridge or lug in front of the wings. The wings are C-shaped in cross-section. The back of the bow has central ridge that has two perforations in it. The first perforation is sited on the ridge in front of the wings an the other above the junction of the wings and the bow. Fragment of a copper alloy Roman sawfish brooch dating from the 1st-2nd century AD. Only the head and part of the bow remain. The brooch has short solid, circular cross sectioned wings which house a central pin recess, part of the pin is still present. The bow has a rectangular cross section and has a series of semi-circular cut outs running down each side, creating the sawfish element. It has the scar of a crest like projection on the top of its upper surface; the underside was plain. Foot and pin rest are now missing.

Copper alloy Roman T-shaped brooch dating from the later 1st century AD, c.AD69-96. Initial T -shaped. The copper-alloy brooch has a cylindrical crossbar which has a central slot on the reverse to allow the pin to be hinged. Within the cross bar there is a copper alloy axis bar on which the pin is pivoted. The hinge is visible, but the pin is missing. The wings are undecorated. Probable Roman or Romano British copper alloy brooch, possibly a Colchester derivative or Trumpet Head derivative. The head is sub semi-circuar in plan and appears to have originally accommodated a hinged pin and it's axis bar. These are both absent as is any catchplate that may have been originally present. There is what appears to be some decoration on the front of the bow. Near the head is an upward pointing chevron and a downpointing chevron approximately a third of the way up from the foot. This item was originally identified as a fragment of late Iron Age torc, but seems more likely (from the photograph) to be a large separately cast side knob from a cruciform brooch headplate.
The description originally said that the object was made from copper alloy and iron, with the surface possibly silvered or tinned. It was described as 'concave copper with an iron insert tab in the middle'.

Unknown object of unknown age. Possibly a lead alloy buckle fragment. It consists of two coterminous fragments decorated with moulded tranverse ridges. There is also a possibility that it is related to brooch making. Combined measurements are length 37mm, width 42mm and weight 20.09g.

Decoration is confined to the front of the bow and consistsof a form of dogtoothing along the ridge of the bow. The hinged pin is now absent and the catchplate is damaged though largely intact. Dates from c50 to c90 AD.
