An incomplete copper-alloy Plate Brooch of Roman date (AD 100-200). The brooch is broadly sub-pelta or leaf shaped in plan. The top of the brooch consists of a sub-trapezoidal plate that curves and narrows toward the base. The upper surface of the plate is decorated with a thin raised circumferential border and triangular upper cell with minor amount of blue enamel, below which is an ovate cell with no retained email.
