A fragment of a copper alloy Small Long Brooch of Early-Medieval date (AD 450-600). Ascribed culture: Anglo Saxon. The retained portion is composed of an arched bow which is D-shaped in section. This extends into a flat lozenge-shaped foot which is decorated with two vertically arrange ring-and-dot motifs, its furthest point elongated and thickened, D-shaped in section and terminates in a transverse break. The back of the foot retained a short longitudinal spur which would have formed the catchplate.

A fragment of a Small Long Brooch of Early-Medieval date (AD 450-600). Ascribed culture: Anglo Saxon. The brooch has a cruciform head with three semi-circular projections, around a central square plate. The lower edge of the head has an abraded break from which the bow would have projected. From the back of the central plate is a rounded rectangular tap with a circular perforation which would have accommodated the pin. There is no decoration on the retained fragment.
The metal is a dark green in colour with a predominantly smooth patina and some areas of pitting and corrosion.

An incomplete copper alloy Brooch of Roman date (AD 43-100). The object is composed of the head and partial bow, all other components are missing due to old, abraded breaks. The head is ovate and sits on a curved bow with a D shaped cross section that tapers to a point. The back of the head is hollow which would have accommodated the spring and pin mechanism. The object is possibly a Dolphin Brooch.

An incomplete Roman copper-alloy trumpet brooch, dating to c.AD 75 - 175. The spring mechanism and pin are missing. At the top of the brooch are the remains of a large circular loop made from a flat plate. Only the lower lugs survive. Below this loop is a second flat sub-oval plate forming the head of the brooch. To the rear are two semi-circular lugs which are pierced in the centre to house the now missing iron pin. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy Polden Hill brooch, dating to AD 75 - 175. The wings, spring and bow remain, the pin is missing. The short capped cylindrical wings are undecorated, at the rear a spring pin consisting of seven springs. At the top of the bow is a small rear facing hook, the upper bow is D-shaped in cross section, tapering slightly towards the break, it is decorated with two incised vertical lines between are decorated with several horizontal lines, creating a beaded effect. Cast gilded spade-shaped or triangular foot from an Anglo-Saxon brooch, possibly a cruciform or square-headed type, The upper part of the foot is flanked by two small lappets, between which is a bilaterally symmetrical inset design including elements resembling a pair of eyes.. Gilding traces are trapped in these features. Suggested date: Early Medieval, 550-600 The object is in fair condition, is 18mm long, 11mm wide, 2mm thick and weighs 2.11g.

An incomplete copper-alloy Annular Brooch of Medieval date (AD 1200-1400). The object consists of approximately half of the frame, which is D-shaped in section. The breaks at either end are abraded. The upper surface is decorated with short linear transverse grooves which form rectangular raised cells of varying width. Within five of the cells are incised equal armed crosses. The underside is flat and undecorated.

The brooch is composed of a head with short rectangular wings, to the reverse of the wings is a central projecting spur, above which is a forward curved hook, which terminates in a tapered point at the font of the head.
