An incomplete Roman copper-alloy silvered Colchester derivative, rear hook brooch, dating to AD 43-65. The wings, bow and catchplate remain, the spring pin is missing. In plan, the brooch is T-shaped, and the bow is D-shaped in cross section. The bow head is hump-like, and angular (comma shaped) in profile, with cylindrical wings projecting from either side at the top. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy brooch, dating to AD 43 - 100. The lower part of the bow and fragment of catchplate remain. The upper part of brooch, wings and pin missing. The lower bow is sub triangular, it is decorated with a series of moulded lines forming almost three petals, the central divided by a central vertical rib. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy knee brooch, dating to AD 100 - 200. The brooch is almost complete, the spring pin termminates in an old break. The brooch is comprised of short hollow cylindrical wings which are undecorated, at the top are two stump fragments which would have initially formed a headloop. The wings house a spring pin. The bow projects outwards from the centre of the wings, it is sub-triangular and tapers towards a flared triangular foot. An incomplete late Iron Age to early Roman copper-alloy Langton Down brooch of Mackreth 2011, LD 2.a, dating to AD 25 - 100. The wings, most of the pin and most of the bow remain, the lower bow, catchplate and part of the pin are missing. The hollow cylidrical wings house the spring pin, which is almost complete. An Early-Medieval small-long trefoil-headed brooch formed from cast copper-alloy. This artefact weighs 12.02g and is complete with the exception of a missing pin. The head is in the form of a cross with round-ended arms separated by small, sub-right angled to sub-semi-circular, indented clefts. A copper alloy Hod Hill type brooch dating to the 1st century AD. The brooch has a curved and flattened head which is rectangular in cross-section and a flat bow which tapers downwards towards the foot. The foot is rounded with a transverse collar above. The bow is decorated with three central vertical ridges. The hinge and pin are missing. There are no side lugs. The catch plate is almost complete and measures 22mm in length. A similar examples can be found in Hattatt, (2000), p320, no. 1500. Dimensions: 55mm in length, 18mm in width, 10mm thick, 5.3g.

An incomplete copper-alloy Aucissa variant type bow brooch with a rolled-under head and no wings. The presence of early features on this brooch such as the white metal coating on the bow, indicate a very early date so some time within the first quarter of the first centuary AD. This brooch had a cylindrical cover to hold the axis bar or sping. A fragment of a copper-alloy bow brooch of Roman date. Only the last c.41.66mm of the distal end of the bow, tail/foot, catchplate and return survive. The fragment weighs 6.30g. The bow has a triangular cross-section that creates a central lateral ridge. The two upper surfaces either side of the lateral ridge are slightly concave. Fairly large disc brooch, the central stud of which is now missing. There is a thin line of gilding around the bottom of the central raised lip and another around the outer edge of the brooch. On the back of the object, the catchplate and opposing lug are attached to a strip of copper alloy that spans the diameter of the disc. The pin is missing. The diameter of the object is 34.53mm, the thickness 5.26mm and the weight 15.93g.

A copper alloy 'Eye' type brooch dating to the first century AD. The brooch possesses flat triangular wings, an overhead hook and three turns of its integral spring mechanism. The bow is D shaped in section and arched. It is separated from the foot by a horizontal rib. The foot is flat and tongue shaped with the trapezoidal catchplate extending the full length.
