An incomplete copper alloy Headstud Brooch of Roman date (AD 70-160). The object is composed of rectangular wings which are decorated with a vertical groove, the outer edges of the wings are missing due to old, abraded breaks. The reverse of the head retains a rolled cylindrical tube, with a central rectangular slot, through which a partial wire pin projects. A fragment from a cast copper alloy object of Early Medieval date probably a dress fitting and most likely a brooch now only surviving as one fragment, The fragment is lozenge shaped in plan although only two of these edges are original, the remaining two being relatively diagonal lines caused by ragged breaks.
