Post medieval copper alloy circular brooch or buckle frame fragment. Probably from a penannular brooch. It is predominantly semi circular in section. The curved side is plain. The 'flat' side has a central rib with two heart shaped protuberances. These 'hearts' are two out of an original four set at quarters around the original circle. The points of the hearts point inward. The style appears to be Arts & Crafts/Celtic Revival and this would date it to between c1860 and c1910 AD. Length 51mm, width 5mm, and thickness 5mm.

A copper-alloy brooch frame, square in shape, 15mm by 15mm in size. The pin rest and pin constriction are formed of two facing grooves and the pin is missing. Each corner of the frame is moulded to perhaps represent flying birds, with their heads facing inwards, tails protruding and wings overlaying the frame. Due to these mouldings the inside of the frame is shaped like a four petalled flower. The back face is flat and undecorated. This brooch is likley to be post-medieval in date, and is unusual in its shape and decoration.
