Small, delicate and heavily abraded medieval copper-alloy annular brooch frame. It is oval, near-circular, flat on the reverse and has low-relief zoomorphic moulding on the front. Traces of gilding survive in the depressions on the front and on the reverse of the pin constriction. The pin constriction survives well. It is plano-convex in cross-section with a rib or collar at each end. An incomplete silver annular brooch. The brooch is circular although the frame is now distorted into a sub-oval shape.It is formed of silver wire wrapped around a central silver wire frame, in very detailed and elaborate form which creates a box shaped profile. A complete copper alloy brooch dating to the medieval period (c.AD 1300-1450). The brooch is comprised of a thin frame in a hectagonal shape with a D-shaped section. A small constriction accommodates a separately attached pin that is wound once around the constriction and rests on the opposite end. The frame is undecorated and has grey / green patina. Dimensions: Length 22.3mm; width 22.6mm; thickness 1.1mm; weight 1.2g Similarly formed brooches are illustrated in Egan and Pritachard (1991: 258) see no.1346 that is from a context dating to c.AD 1350-1400.

A fragment of an annular copper-alloy medieval brooch. It is decorated with four raised collets projecting at equal intervals around the outer face of the fragment. A cast copper alloy annular brooch of Medieval date, about AD 1250 - 1400. The brooch frame is hexagonal and has six forward projecting domed knops. Two of these knops are large and opposite each other, with the remaining four being smaller. They are all brambled. The frame is shaped to join the knops, which are evenly spaced around the frame. A pin survives, cut from sheet copper alloy, but it is bent. A Medieval copper alloy annular brooch or possible buckle, dating to 1350-1400 AD. The brooch consists of a circular frame which is 2.35mm in width, and is circular in cross section. The frame is bevelled on the inside. There is a recess in hoop where the pin would have sat, now missing. There is the remains of iron staining on the two points of the frame, where the pin once sat. There is no decoration, and the brooch has a light green patina. A fragment of a medieval cast copper alloy zoomorphic annular brooch, 31mm in length. The remaining portion of the frame comprises an oval lobe drilled for a pin which is held by flanking beast heads. The drilled pin hole at the centre retains a copper alloy pin. Each flanking head faces the pin articulation and has a ridged collar at the neck, moulded brows and snout and blind drilled holes representing gaping jaws. The narrow necks extending back from each head would have extended into a circular frame with plano convex section. Both end in old breaks.
