An incomplete cast copper-alloy Middle Anglo-Saxon Ansate brooch of Weetch's type XII.Aiii; 'Ansate brooches with tri-lobed leaf shaped terminals', the so-called 'Pommeroeul type' (Thorle's group XII A2), dating c. 800-950 AD. A complete cast copper-alloy detachable side knob originating from an Anglo-Saxon florid cruciform brooch of Martin's group 4 dating to the Early Medieval period, c. 520-570 AD. The knob consists a central sub-rectangular panel depicting an anthropomorphic mask on its upper surface with prominent pelleted eyes, heavy brows and an elongated nose.

The brooch has a front decorated with a central circular perforation, at least two blind-drilled dots (at 2 o'clock and 6 o'clock) and a pair of closely-spaced fine concentric grooves encircling them, about halfway between the centre and the edge. An incomplete copper-alloy Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) small-long brooch. The head comprises a central rectangular plate with three sides extended in three flat semi-circular knops; one of the knops is heavily damaged. The fourth side extends in the arched bow, which has a D-shaped cross section and tapers towards the break. The bow is thicker in the middle. The front of the headplate is decorated with a central ring-and-dot, while the bow has in its front a very abraded longitudinal groove. Part of the body and the pin are now missing in old damage, though otherwise it is preserved intact. It is flat and was originally circular, its outer face decorated with a border of stamped ring-and-dot motifs; towards one edge, the surrounding rings have worn away. The front has a punched ring-and-dot motif at the centre, now very worn, surrounded by four similar motifs; a fifth might have been in the missing fragment. The reverse has a single pin lug with iron corrosion. The brooch has less than a quarter missing. Diameter: 33.58 mm. Thickness: 2.20 mm. Weight: 6.02 g.

A complete copper alloy early medieval annular brooch. The hoop is broad and flattened, rectangular in cross-section, concave to the reverse with a convex outer face. The outer face is decorated with approximately four concentric lines of small incised dashes. Just behind the inner edge at one side is a small circular hole still holding a delicate simple wire pin. The brooch survives in good condition with a shiny green patina.
