An incomplete copper alloy early-medieval ansate brooch dating from AD 700-900. One end of the bow and terminal are missing. The brooch has a square flat terminal with a semi-circular rounded projection to each side. This terminal is decorated with an incised cross saltire formed from four lentoid recesses. There is a recessed ring and dot on the two rounded projections. Behind this terminal is a pair of projecting pin lugs supporting an iron axis bar. The pin is missing. Early Medieval cloisonné enamel brooch. Gilt cast copper alloy with pseudo filigree and granulation. In its centre is a 15.5mm diameter x 2.0mm high collet containing enamel/glass inlay. This consist of four, rectangular pieces of pale blue glass arranged to form a cross. Between these elements are four keystone shaped pieces of dark blue glass which may have been made up of smaller pieces or have been fragmented. A copper alloy annular Early Medieval brooch dating from AD 450 - 700. The brooch has a flat hoop which is 7.6mm wide and 1.2mm thick. There is a well defined constriction for the pin which is a notch in both side of the frame. There is iron corrosion on the pin constriction and on the frame at the opposite point. The front face is decorated with thirteen punched ring-and-dot motifs which have a double ring. The brooch has a smooth and glossy turquoise green patina. It is 50.5mm diameter, 1.2mm thick and 8.05g. Compare number 10.43 on page 90 of MacGregor and Bolick (1993).

A gilt copper alloy brooch fragment; the decorative pin head from an annular brooch. The brooch is Irish and dates from the eighth or ninth century. The fragment is 45mm long, 7.6mm wide and 10.5mm thick. It weighs 22.5g and is in good condition. The pin head is basically lozenge shaped and consists of a central lozenge shaped recess with four sub-rectangular panels round it. The panels are linked by sub-circular settings.
