A fragment of the head plate and part of the bow of an Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch dating to the sixth century AD. The head plate is rectangular. The central panel is decorated with a central stamped ring and dot motif. The wings are bounded by a vertical border of stamped circles. Where the wing and side knob meet, there is a further row of stamped circles. Only one of the flat side knobs survives and this is incomplete.The remaining part of the knob is rectangular and decorated with a rectangular depression.
