The head-plate is sub-rectangular with two rows of vertical lines to the left and right edges and an irregular cross of incised dots extending between each corner. The fragment is the lower part of a small-long brooch. The bow is short, curved and undecorated. Below the bow is a elongated bar, which is rounded at either end. The foot of the brooch is rounded Both elements of the lower section (bar and foot) of the brooch have punched circle and dot decoration. The reverse of the brooch retains part of the corroded catchplate.

A small cast copper alloy fragment comprising a round semi-circular sectioned knob with a double ridged collar and a portion of a sub rectangular plate. The reverse is flat with a ridge at the base of the terminal. This is potentially either a terminal from a Roman strap end (cf. HESH-089EA8), or an early medieval brooch fragment, perhaps from a small cruciform brooch (cf. Martin Type 2, e.g. YORYM-118707 or YORYM-13ED43) or an imitative small-long type.

A middle to late early-medieval (800-900AD) copper alloy disc brooch of Weetch's type 18.  It is decorated with a voided concave-sided cross with equal sided arms with what maybe a depiction of a bird in the centre. The edge is damaged due to corrosion. Two stumps on the reverse are the remains of a catch-plate and the pin attachment point, both positioned by the outside edge. It measures 21mm in diameter.

The brooch is circular in plan with a wide (6.2mm) diagonally raised lip. Within the lip on the upper surface is a faint chip-carved geometric basketwork design.
