A fragment of a cast copper-alloy cruciform brooch dating to the Early-Medieval period, c. AD 400-600. Only the footplate survives. The fragment is in the form of a anthropomorphic frontal-facing head with a transverse band above its head. It is sub-triangular in shape with a convex front and concave reverse. Above the transverse band the foot terminates with a worn break. A copper alloy half-round side knob from an early medieval, Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch (c.AD 475-550). The object has a D-shaped based that is decorated with three bands of grooves. Underneath the base is a traverse groove an circular perforation through the centre of the knob. From the base, the body is notched to present a narrowed waist. At the end of the knob is a slightly flattened down with a vertivle notched incised from the centre downwards, a small circle is present at the tip of the dome. An incomplete, copper alloy Early Medieval brooch; a cruciform brooch of Martin group 1, dating from AD 420 - 475. It has a full-round waisted top knob, a narrow head-plate with chamfered sides and behind it, a single loop to support the spring mechanism. The spring was made of iron and only corrosion survives. The bow has a trapezoid cross-section and a transverse double groove at each end. Most of the lower bow is missing.
