Only a small portion of the arched bow and the foot remain which is sub-rectangular with D-shaped section and flared terminal. Both ends are broken and worn. The upper surface of the object is worn though traces of decoration can be determined. The brooch is flat with a narrow D-shaped section and is in the form of a bird, possibly a cockerel, facing left.
