An early medieval (Anglo-Saxon) cast copper alloy saucer brooch, dating to c. AD.450-550. The front of the brooch is dished, with an angular and upturned rim around; this is incomplete on one side. The front of the brooch is decorated with a five pointed star pattern formed by double-ridged concave arcs enclosed by an engraved concentric line around a small central boss. There is no trace of gilding. The reverse has an in-line hinge lug and catchplate. There is extensive deposition of iron corrosion products around the hinge lug from a now lost iron spring and pin.

The face has incised decoration in the form of five dot-in-annulet motifs, one at the centre with four arranged equidistant around it. The reverse has an in-line catchplate and hinge lug, the latter retaining a rusted remnant of an iron spring and pin. Circa 5th-6th century AD.

Fragment from an early medieval chip-carved gilded copper alloy brooch , dating c. 500-600 AD. The fragment is sub-rectangular in plan and in section, with partial flat broken wings projecting from either side of what appears to be the convex rectangular bow of a brooch. The fragment is decorated with a sub-rectangular panel, within which is a possible scroll design. The reverse is plain and undecorated.

The front has a double ridged rim within which is a highly stylised anthropomorphic mask. The upper part of the face comprises a triangular helmet which sits over curved eyebrows which form a single T-shaped element with the nose. The eyes are round and framed by crescentic cheeks.
