A copper-alloy As of Nero; SPQR S C (Victory flying left) reverse type; probably minted at Lyon, AD c. 66. The coin is worn and corroded. The surface appears to have traces of a black coating, possibly a corroded white metal. The coin measures 28.8mm in diameter, 3.2mm thick and weighs 10.1g.

Obverse legend: [ ]CAESAR AVG IMP Obverse type: head right. Reverse legend: PONTIF MAX TR P VII COS III F F; EX S C. Reverse type: Roma standing right, foot on helmet (next to dagger and bow), inscribing shield on knee. RIC I, p. 152, cf. no. 28. The prototype for this coin, struck at Rome, is very rare.
