Appears to be almost complete, sub-rectangular with convex edges and relief decoration depicting a male mask with helmet and beard, long nose and brows represented by a continuous line, and lentoid eyes beneath. Or, possibly two half-faces, with noses and beards towards the outside of the object. Probable Quern Stone.
Dimensions – Diameter c. 165mm, thickness c. 68mm.
A flattened, smooth, slightly oval cobble of a non-local stone, probably of volcanic origin, with a shallow, c.90mm diameter depression in the centre of each face, with depths of 10 and 15mm. The surface of the depressions is not noticeably different from that of the rest of the cobble.
Evans (Ancient Stone Implements of Great Britain) discusses a number of smaller examples from both Britain and elsewhere and suggests that the depressions were thumb and finger grips and that the use might be as hammers.…

An unidentified object: comprising a flat fragment of bone attached to a ring by a suspension loop secured by a rivet. The bone is broken on all edges except near the loop where it is straight. On one face a rebate runs parallel to this edge and turns through a right angle to follow two broken edges. On the other face a rebate runs parallel to one broken edge. The loop is round-sectioned except where flattened near the rivet. The ring is round-sectioned. The bone measures >16mm x >12mm, 2.5mm thick. Length of loop 9.5mm. External diameter of ring 13mm. Internal diameter 10mm. Not recent.

A barrel-shaped bead made from sheet metal with a simple unsoldered longitudinal join. The hollow centre of the bead is filled with soil, with a short segment of sub-circular sectioned bent gold wire protruding from one end. The bead is decorated with three ridges flanked by pairs of ribs; another rib marks each of the open ends No exact parallel has been found.
Gold beads are known in the British and Irish Bronze Age but these are usually biconical or tubular and the very high copper content argues against a Bronze Age date. Date: Unknown, but over 300 years Dimensions: Length 7mm.…

This fragment, about 1/3rd of a silver finger ring, now distorted, consists of a flat plain band which expands fairly sharply to a rectangular bezel with engraved decoration consisting of a transverse band of short closely spaced lines at the junction between band and bezel, a circle with four lines through it, and a further transverse band of lines across which the bezel is broken.
